This underpad is designed to reposition a bedridden person without risk of injury to patient and caregiver. 2 sizes available (standard and bariatric).

The underpad is placed on the bottom or fitted sheet, with the blue panel of low-friction taffeta facing downwards. Two people on either side of the bed can easily reposition the patient, using the appropriate PDSB technique.

The Swift positioning draw sheet can also be used with the Ultraslide underpad. This repositioning system makes mobilization easier and less painful than conventional mobilization for patients with multi-dimensional pain and bariatric patients.

The "Swift UltraSlide" System

The Swift UltraSlide system comprises two separate components. An Ultraslide underpad and a Swift positioning underpad.

A practical solution for caregivers and more comfortable for patients. Repositioning a patient is easier, quicker and without risk of injury when combined with safe patient movement techniques. Both elements can be washed at the same time as the other bedding elements, up to 167°F (75°C). What's more, this system fits most 36" mattresses used in care settings, and a version is available for 42" mattresses designed for bariatric patients. The fabric is soft to the touch and comfortable against the skin. The taffeta is breathable to reduce heat build-up. Discreet design with the appearance of standard bedding.
